The State Arts Council was established in 1965 as the official state arts agency through legislation (RSA 19-A) "to insure that the role of the arts in the life of our communities will continue to grow and play an ever more significant part in the welfare and educational experience of our citizens." We have marked our milestone anniversaries with research, publications, special programs, and exhibits.
2015 marks our 50th Anniversary!
It also marks the 50th Anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts. In collaboration with the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts looks at the arts and culture of New Hampshire.
