Personal Lines Premium Comparison Survey - 2009 Edition - Personal Auto

There are two sets of exhibits linked below. The first shows a separate page for each territory, with all of the hypothetical rating examples across the top. The second shows a separate page for each hypothetical rating example, with all of the territories across the top.

NOTE: All automobile rating examples include the following unless otherwise noted: $100/$300 BI, $100 PD, $1,000 Med Pay, $100/$300 UM, $250 deductible Comp, $500 deductible Collision.

The rating examples are summarized here and described in more detail on a page of the package of exhibits:

Example 1:
Married couple, both 44, homeowners. Husband drives 2004 Toyota Camry 4 Dr Sedan five miles to work, five days per week. Wife drives 2003 Dodge Caravan SE ten mile to work, five days per week. No accidents or moving violations. Oldest child, male age 16 with driver’s license, no tickets, no accidents, driver training course, 3.2 GPA who drives both cars occasionally.

Example 2:
Married couple, both 35, homeowners. Husband drives 2005 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 twelve miles to work, five days per week, with citation ten months ago for speeding (70 in 55mph zone.) Wife drives 2001 Dodge Neon Sedan two miles to work, five days per week.

Example 3:
Single 23 year old male, drives 2002 Ford F-150 Supercab XLT 4x4 ten miles to work, five days per week. No accidents or moving violations in past three years. Licensed at 16, passed driver training course, renter.

Example 4:
Married couple, homeowners, husband 72, wife 68. They drive a 2001 Buick Century Custom SE for pleasure, 6,000 miles annually. No accidents or moving violations.

Example 5:
Single female, 19. Drive 1999 Honda Civic DX Hatchback six mile to school five days per week. Works weekends at local restaurant, two miles from apartment. Maintains 3.0 GPA. No accidents or moving violations. Licensed at 16 and passed driver’s training course.

Example 6:
Single Male, 30. Drives 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sport 4x4 five miles to work, five days per week. Two speeding tickets in last two years and cited fifteen months ago for DUI. No other moving violations and no accidents. SR-22 filing is needed, providing proof of financial responsibility.

Example 7:
Single female, renter, age 35. Drives 2006 Chrysler Sebring convertible, eighteen miles to work, five days per week. No accidents or moving violations.
