Visiting Hours and Hours of Operation

Visiting Hours:

Enjoying family photos
Enjoying the day together

Visitors are an important part of our residents' lives.

Visitors must use the main entrance (Door #2), sign in and obtain a pass at the reception desk. For the safety and security of residents, staff and visitors alike, it's important to know who is in the facility.

Recommended visiting hours for family and friends are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, if a resident is very ill, visitors are welcome to spend time with them during the night. If planning a visit outside of the normal hours, please call ahead to let staff know that you are coming so provisions can be made for after-hours access to the building.

In most cases, NHVH cannot provide meals to visitors; please plan accordingly.

When someone's roommate is receiving care, visitors and residents are asked to socialize in one of the many comfortable community areas around the facility.

During posted meal times (6 a.m. - 8:30 a.m., noon - 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.-6 p.m.) please do not cut through the main dining room as an access route to other areas of the Home. Signs are posted at both entrances to the dining room. Please use alternate routes through surrounding hallways. Staff will be glad to direct you.

There is a daily coffee social in the Tarr Dining Room from 10:15 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Residents, volunteers and visitors are invited to attend to join in the conversation.

Hours of Operation:

Care for our residents goes on 24/7/365. Business Hours for other parts of our operations are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
