An Arrest Has Been Made In Stoddard Brush Fire

Keene, NH – As a result of the joint investigation into the Stoddard forest fires, David Plante, 31, of Stoddard, New Hampshire, has been arrested and charged with one count of arson.

Plante refused the services of a bail commissioner. He is being held at the Cheshire County House of Corrections without bail pending an arraignment in the Cheshire County Superior Court in Keene at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016. Plante is a member of the Stoddard Fire Department.

At this time, investigators do not believe additional suspects are involved. The investigation is ongoing and authorities anticipate additional charges will be forthcoming.

Law enforcement officials have asked anyone with information regarding the Stoddard forest fires to call New Hampshire State Police Headquarters at (603) 271-3636.
