New Hampshire Poetry Out Loud Program 2012-2013

Welcome to the eighth year of New Hampshire's Poetry Out Loud competition.  The program becomes more popular every year, and to stay within our resources, this year we are limiting particpation to the first forty schools who sign up!

Contact your local school or the Poetry Out Loud coordinators listed below for information on how to join the program. We welcome participation from home school groups.

General Information:

• New Hampshire High School Competition Schedules & Results: View participating high schools and find out when competition is scheduled. Competition results will be posted as the events take place.
• State Semi-Final Competitions & State Final: View the locations, times and dates of the four semi-final competitions and the State Finals and the results.

Important Dates for 2012-2013 New Hampshire Poetry Out Loud:

Oct. 3, Oct. 10 or Oct. 17:   New school/new teachers orientation
November 1, 2012:               Deadline for school registrations
February 16-22, 2013:       Student Clinic for all school champions and alternate champions
February 22, 2013:             Deadline for schools to complete competitions
March 5-11, 2013:                NH State Semi-Final Competitions (four)
March 15, 2013:                    NH State Finals
March 17, 2013:                   Deadline for State Finals
March 22, 2013:                   Deadline to register for finals
April 29-30, 2013:               National POL Finals Competition, Washington, DC

The State Finals are free of charge and open to the public! Come support our students and their efforts.
