John Weidman is a master sculptor, technician, visionary and charismatic leader who has an exemplary record of leadership in the arts in New Hampshire and internationally.John is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Andres Institute of Art, which began in 1998. Located in Brookline, NH, the 140 acre sculpture park includes walking trails and studio working spaces. Since 1999, when the Institute held its first international sculpture symposium, the annual art making conference has hosted 98 artists from 47 countries and has over 100 thought-provoking original works of art on display.
Weidman is also the Artistic Director of the Nashua International Sculpture Symposium, in Nashua, NH. Since the Nashua Symposium’s inception in 2008, artists from 36 countries have created 42 sculptures that have been installed in public locations around the city.
