Distinguished Arts Leadership Award

Gail Smuda has been organizing exhibitions of her own and others' work since 1981. She has been in many group shows in Hawaii, all the New England states, North and South Carolina, and points west. In addition, she has shown at Palm Beach Community College; the Washington Arts Club in Washington, DC; AVA Gallery and Art Center in Lebanon, NH; the Boston Children's Museum; and New England College in Henniker. She has won the 8th Annual All Media Exhibition Award at Minot State University, the 8th Annual Summer Exhibition Award at AVA Gallery, and the Clowes Foundation Fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center. In 1999, Smuda was honored for Leadership in the Arts by the Women's Caucus for Art. In addition she has been the recipient of 1984 and 1995 NHSCA Fellowships.
