"Drive Sober of Get Pulled Over" Initiative, Greater Weirs Beach Area, Laconia, NH

On Friday, August 28, 2020, from 9:00p.m. until 3:00a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020, members of the New Hampshire State Police converged upon the greater Weirs Beach area in the city of Laconia to conduct a directed patrol in the area, with the increased crowds and vehicular traffic due to the annual Motorcycle Week event going on, focusing on impaired driving. As part of the efforts of the four troopers that were assigned, they stopped a total of 40 motor vehicles, issuing four summonses and 38 warnings for various motor vehicle violations. Additionally, troopers arrested the following individuals;

ADAM CORMIER
AGE: 38
Tewksbury, MA

CORMIER was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and will appear before the 4th Circuit-District Division-Laconia on September 10, 2020 to answer to the charge.

RACHAEL L. MOUNT
AGE: 43
Claremont, NH

MOUNT was charged with Allowing an Improper Person to Operate and will appear before the 4th Circuit-District Division-Laconia Court on November 12, 2020 to answer to the charge.

NATHANIEL BERGERON
AGE: 23
Pittsfield, NH

BERGERON was charged with Operating After Suspension or Revocation as well as Obstructing Government Administration and will appear before the 4th Circuit-District Division-Laconia Court on November 12, 2020 to answer to the charges.

The New Hampshire State Police would like to remind motorists to obey the speed limit, leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you, drive safely and please use a sober driver.
