Motor vehicle crash, Route 102, Chester, NH

On Friday August 14, 2020 at approximately 9:53 am, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop-A and Troop-G barracks responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 102 in the town of Chester. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling southbound on Route 102, when it crossed the centerline and collided with a 2007 Kenworth tractor-trailer unit that was traveling northbound. Troopers on-scene requested assistance from the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit.

The operator of the Dodge Grand Caravan, identified as Shawn Gilley, age 36 of Raymond, New Hampshire was transported to the Elliott Hospital with serious injuries. His passenger, identified as Michelle Gilley, age 46, of Raymond, New Hampshire was transported to the Parkland Medical Center with serious injuries. She was later transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

The operator of the Kenworth tractor-trailer unit who was identified as Osvaldo Muneton-Medina, age 38, of Revere, Massachusetts was not injured in the crash.
Route 102 remains closed in both directions while Troopers continue to investigate the crash. It is anticipated that the roadway will re-open by 4:00 pm.

This crash remains under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police C.A.R.
Assisting Troop-A at the scene were, NH State Police Troop-G, the NH State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, the Chester Police and Fire Departments, NH Department of Transportation, Chester Department of Public Works, NH Department of Environmental Services and New England Truck Center.
