On July 4, 2020 at around 3:48p.m., the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F took the report of a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at a local turnout/picnic area in Dixville Notch. Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F responded and learned that;

MARY-ANN GILBERT
AGE: 62
Colebrook, NH

and a passenger, identified as;

BRENDA MARQUIS
AGE: 54
Colebrook, NH

had stopped at the turnout to take a short rest. During that time, GILBERT was out of her vehicle, believed to be retrieving an item from another area of the vehicle, when for an unknown reason, the vehicle, described as a 2014 Dodge Avenger, began to roll, striking GILBERT causing serious injuries. GILBERT and MARQUIS were transported from the scene to the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook for treatment. MARQUIS was treated and released, while GILBERT was transported via medical helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH for further treatment. All factors are still being considered and the investigation is still on going. Anyone with further information or who may have witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact Trooper Tyler Brennan at 603-223-6188 or tyler.brennan@dos.nh.gov.

The New Hampshire State Police-Troop F was assisted on scene by members of the New Hampshire State Police-Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, the Errol Fire Department and the Errol Fast Squad.
