On July 1, 2020, at approximately 1:46 p.m., the New Hampshire State Police – Troop D was notified of a vehicle that had rolled over on I-89 south, just north of Exit 1.

Upon arrival of troopers at the scene, they found a 2011 Ford E350 van owned by Eversource Energy, on its side. Initial investigation indicated that the operator, Mark Rizzo, age 60, of Salem, New Hampshire, was driving southbound when he drifted off the left side of the road, hit a guard rail and overturned.
