Traffic Enforcement & Safe Driving Recommendations, Statewide

The New Hampshire State Police is committed to the health and safety of New Hampshire’s residents and visitors throughout this public health crisis.

While New Hampshire Troopers are actively involved in the State’s response to COVID-19, Troopers are still responding to calls for service and stopping drivers for motor vehicle infractions.

Colonel Noyes said, “With the arrival of spring weather and additional businesses starting to reopen we have seen an increase in traffic along with increased cases of speeding and distracted driving. Don’t be surprised to see additional traffic enforcement in the days and weeks to come, or Troopers using personal protective equipment for everyone’s safety.”

The Governor’s Stay At Home 2.0 order remains in effect but for those having to travel Colonel Noyes offers these safe driving recommendations:

  • Slow down and obey all posted speed limits.
  • Keep your attention on the road at all times.
  • Don’t drive distracted.
  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Always wear your seatbelt.
