State Police-Marine Patrol Public Information Meetings

CANCELLED

March 19, 2020, Moultonborough NH, 6:00 pm
March 26, 2020, Gilford NH, 6:00 pm

The New Hampshire State Police-Marine Patrol Unit invites the public to attend a boating safety information meeting on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Town of Moultonborough Public Safety Building, 1035 Whittier Hwy., Moultonborough, NH.

The Marine Patrol has scheduled a second meeting at Marine Patrol Headquarters, 31 Dock Rd., in Gilford, NH, on March 26, 2020, also at 6:00 pm.

These meetings will bring Lakes Region boating stakeholders together to discuss the Marine Patrol's mission on our public waters. In addition to boating safety, topics will include the enforcement of recent aqua-therm restrictions, illegal rafting in regulated areas, boat speed in "No Wake" zones, and safe passage.

Captain Tim Dunleavy of the Marine Patrol said, "These meetings will provide the boating public with an opportunity to express the concerns they have relating to boating and the environment. This exchange will assist the Marine Patrol with its planning for the 2020 recreational boating season."

Members of the public are also invited to express their concerns in writing to the Marine Patrol via email at marinepatrol@dos.nh.gov.

In addition to these meetings, the Marine Patrol hopes to host similar opportunities for boaters in other areas of the State during the summer months.
