Shots Fired Incident in Warner, Updated

On February 21, 2020 at approximately 0720 hours, NH State Police Communications in Concord received a call of shots being fired at a residence in Warner, NH. Moments later, those individuals involved were later seen traveling southbound on Interstate 89 in 2 separate vehicles. Callers reporting the incident described the vehicles traveling in a reckless and aggressive manner as they continued traveling south towards Concord. NH Troopers from Troop D in Concord were able to subsequently locate both vehicles and get them stopped in a safe location off the interstate. One vehicle was stopped at the Park and Ride in Concord off I-89 Exit 2 and other was stopped off Rt 3A in the town of Bow. Both vehicles have been seized for processing.

NH State Police is confident that those individuals involved with the incident have been identified. We are still gathering evidence and speaking with those individuals involved as well as those who witnessed the incident. There is no threat to the public and there are no injuries to report.

The investigation has resulted in the arrests of the following two people:

Daniel Bernard
Age: 35
Wilmot, New Hampshire
And:
John Miller
Age: 37
(Homeless)

Bernard has been charged with Felony Reckless Conduct and is being held at the Merrimack County Jail. Miller has been charged with Felony Criminal Threatening and was released on bail to appear on March 5, 2020 in the Merrimack County Superior Court
