Serious Motor Vehicle Crash, Route 107, Seabrook, NH

On Friday, February 21, 2020 at approximately 2:45pm, Seabrook Police Department was requested to respond to a serious motor vehicle collision on Route 107 in their Town. Upon their arrival they located 2 vehicles at the scene. The first vehicle was identified as a 2015 Ford Focus. The second vehicle was identified as a 2006 Buick Lacrosse.

Based upon the initial investigation, the Ford Focus was traveling northbound when it crossed the yellow centerline and struck the Buick Lacrosse, head-on, as it was traveling southbound. The operator of the Ford Focus was identified as Robert Snow, age 58, of Seabrook, NH. Snow sustained serious bodily injuries and was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. The operator of the Buick Lacrosse was identified as Benjamin Lavigne, age 39, of Newmarket, NH. Lavigne sustained serious bodily injuries and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Due to the seriousness of the crash, Seabrook Police Department requested that the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, (C.A.R.) Unit respond.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, (C.A.R.) Unit was assisted on scene by Seabrook Police Department and Troopers from the Troop A Barracks as well as Seabrook Fire/EMS. Due to the collision, Route 107 in the area of Weare Road was closed for approximately 4 hours.

At this time it is unknown why Snow crossed the centerline but all aspects remain under investigation.
