On January 28, 2020, at approximately 12:18 p.m., the New Hampshire State Police – Troop D was notified of a tractor-trailer that had lost its load of timber on the Exit 12N on-ramp for I-93 in the City if Concord, NH.

Upon the arrival of troopers at the scene, they learned that a 2016 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer driven by Gabriel Robertson, age 46, of Dublin, NH, was merging onto I93 north when the load of timber he was transporting in a 45' flatbed trailer, shifted. As a result, a strap broke, causing numerous large pieces of timber to spill out onto the roadway of the on-ramp. Several feet of guardrail was heavily damaged as a result of the timber striking it.

The on-ramp was shut down for over an hour until the pieces of timber could be removed.

Initial investigation indicated that the load was not secured properly.

New Hampshire State Police – Troop D was assisted at the scene by the New Hampshire State Police – Troop G, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

This incident is being investigated by Trooper Matthew Gagnon. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Trooper Gagnon, New Hampshire State Police – Troop D, at 603-223-4381.
