With the elevated number of motorists and visitors in the Lincoln and Woodstock area, due to the annual Highland Games, the New Hampshire State Police conducted a directed enforcement effort to help ensure public safety during this annual event. The enforcement effort focused on dangerous driving with an emphasis on impaired driving in an effort to keep area roadways safe and was conducted from 9:00p.m., Saturday, September 21st, 2019 through 3:00a.m., Sunday, September 22nd, 2019. There were eight troopers assigned to this directed initiative. As a result of their efforts, troopers stopped 73 motor vehicles and issued 13-citations and 62-warnings for various motor vehicle violations to include Speed; Failing to Obey Traffic Sign/Signal; Hazardous moving violations; Defective Equipment tags; and Use of Mobile electronic device while driving.

There was also one arrest made for an Outstanding Bench Warrant;

James E. Neptune

was arrested and released and will be required to appear before the Plymouth Circuit Court on October 28th, 2019. During this time there were no serious traffic related incidents or events in the area, which is undoubtedly attributed to the extra enforcement efforts and presence in the area.
