On Sunday, August 4, 2019 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop-A responded to Interstate 95 North in the Town of Seabrook for a single vehicle rollover crash. The vehicle had come to a position of final rest on its side blocking a portion of the northbound travel lanes. Initial on-scene investigation revealed that a 2018 Ford Explorer being driver by Richard Beauregard, age 38, of Salem, NH was traveling northbound when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the center median for an unknown reason. The Explorer continued North striking some vegetation in the center median before it traveled along an embankment which caused it to rollover and travel back onto the roadway surface. During this rollover, Beauregard, who was the vehicle's lone occupant was ejected from the vehicle. Beauregard was subsequently transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit.

Based upon the preliminary investigation, excessive speed and possible drug impairment are believed to be contributing factors to this collision; however, all aspects remain under investigation. Criminal charges are expected once Beauregard is released from medical care.

A portion of Interstate 95 North in the vicinity of Exit 1 was closed for approximately 2.5 hours for the investigation of this incident.

The New Hampshire State Police Troop-A were assisted at the scene by the Seabrook Police Department, Seabrook Fire Department, the Massachusetts State Police, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Tr. Kevin Devlin of the New Hampshire State Police, Troop-A Barracks at (603)679-3333 or kevin.devlin@dos.nh.gov.
