Reckless Driving Arrest, I-95 Greenland, NH

At approximately 0805 hours on July 20, 2017, TFC Sean Faherty, of the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit was monitoring traffic from the State Police aircraft on I-95 southbound in the Town of Greenland. TFC Faherty observed a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed and clocked it at 142 MPH in the posted 65MPH speed zone. TFC Faherty radioed to Troopers on the ground. The vehicle a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk passed by the ground trooper's location. It was subsequently stopped on I-95. The Subject was identified as,

Eric Joseph
Age 51
Short Hills , NJ

Sgt. Christopher Storm of the Special Enforcement Unit made contact with Joseph. When asked why he was traveling at that speed. Joseph stated that he was traveling home to New Jersey. Sgt. Storm charged him with Reckless Operation. Joseph is due to appear in the Portsmouth Circuit Court to answer to this charge on September 23, 2010 at 0800.

The NH State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors. Its members patrol across the state often utilizing the State Police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire's roadways safe for all residents and visitors.
