Motor Vehicle Accident, Route 101 Eastbound, Candia

On Tuesday July 9 2019, at approximately 1455 hours, Troopers from The New Hampshire State Police Barracks at Troop A were notified of a motor vehicle collision along Route 101 East in the Town of Candia. Upon arrival, responding Troopers found the involved vehicle resting upon its roof in the area of mile marker 109. The left lane of Route 101 East was shut-down while emergency personnel cared for those involved and worked to clear the roadway.

For reasons still under investigation, Troopers were able to determine that a 2007 Mazda G6, operated by a 78 year-old male from Goffstown, left the paved portion of the roadway and continued into the center median. The momentum of the vehicle and the shape of the roadway forced the vehicle to roll over and come to a rest upon its roof. The vehicle sustained significant damage and would be towed from the scene. The male operator was transported to the Elliot Hospital where it was confirmed that he did not suffer any serious injuries.

At-scene Troopers were assisted by the Candia Police Department, Candia Fire and Rescue, and American Medical Response. Should anyone have further information related to this crash, they are asked to contact TFC Brian Gacek, via email, at brian.gacek@dos.nh.gov.
