Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated Arrest, I-95 Hampton Falls, NH

At approximately 0920 hours on July 5, 2019 TFC Sean Faherty, of the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit was monitoring traffic from the State Police aircraft on I-95 northbound in the Town of Hampton Falls. TFC Faherty observed a vehicle driving erratically in and out of traffic, at what appeared to be an extremely high rate of speed. He was able to clock the vehicle at 106 MPH in the posted 65MPH speed zone. TFC Faherty then radioed to Troopers on the ground, and the vehicle, a 2017 Jeep Wrangler was subsequently stopped. The driver was identified as,

Laurie Robbins
Age 45
Worcester, MA

Sgt. Christopher Storm and Trooper Christopher Houston made contact with Robbins. After speaking with her, it became evident that she was possibly impaired. Robbins submitted to road side field sobriety testing, and it was determined that she was in fact under the influence. Robbins was subsequently arrested for Aggravated DWI, and she is due to appear in the 10th Circuit District Division Hampton Court to answer to this charge on July 18, 2019 at 0800.

The NH State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors. Its members patrol across the state often utilizing the State Police aircraft during commuter traffic times and holiday travel periods with the goal of keeping New Hampshire's roadways safe for all residents and visitors.
