Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash, Bee Hole Road, Loudon, NH

On Sunday, June 16, 2019 at approximately 10:50pm, Loudon Police Department was requested to respond to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of 68 Bee Hole Road in the Town of Loudon, New Hampshire. Upon their arrival a single vehicle was found on its passenger side off the right hand side of the roadway near the tree line. The vehicle was identified as a Chevrolet Equinox.

Based upon the initial investigation, the Chevy Equinox was traveling northbound when it failed to negotiate a left hand curve and veered off the roadway to the right. The vehicle struck a tree on the front passenger side and then rolled over, eventually coming to rest on its passenger side. The operator of the Chevy was identified as Tyler Dempsey, age 22, of Loudon, NH. Dempsey did not sustain any injuries and remained on scene. There were two passengers in the vehicle along with Dempsey. The backseat passenger was identified as Leandra Jimmo, age 21, of Loudon, NH. Jimmo sustained a minor head injury and was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment and was then released. The front seat passenger sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. The deceased passenger's information is currently being withheld pending family notification. Due to the seriousness of the crash, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, (C.A.R.) Unit was requested to respond. In the course of the investigation on scene, there was probable cause to believe that Dempsey was impaired at the time of the crash. He was placed under arrest for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. Dempsey was held without bail is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court today at 1:00pm.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, (C.A.R.) Unit was assisted on scene by Loudon Police Department, Chichester Police Department and Loudon Fire/EMS. Due to the collision, Bee Hole Road was closed for approximately 4 hours.

At this time it appears that alcohol and speed were factors in this crash, however all aspects remain under investigation.
