DWI Saturation Patrol, Lakes Region

During the hours of 9:00pm, Saturday, May 25, 2019 through 3:00am, Sunday, May 26, 2019, New Hampshire State Troopers from Troop E in Tamworth conducted a DWI Saturation Patrol in the Lakes Region area in collaboration with the Gilford Police Department, Laconia Police Department and Belmont Police Department.

State Troopers stopped a total of 104 motor vehicles and issued summonses for speed, lane control, open container, and personal possession of marijuana. Four physical custody arrests were made during this DWI Saturation Patrol period.

  • Steven Berrini, age 59, of Saugus, Massachusetts was arrested for DWI.
  • Danielle Bertrand, age 56, of Gilmanton, New Hampshire was arrested for DWI and Suspended Registrations.
  • Destiny Alves, age 19, of Peabody, Massachusetts, was arrested for Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor.
  • Lisa Marie Murray, age 48, of Saugus, Massachusetts was placed into protective custody.

Colonel Christopher Wagner, Director of the New Hampshire State Police and Lieutenant James Fogarty, Commander of the Troop E barracks consider the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority. They will continue to collaborate and utilize DWI Saturation Patrols and other means to deter, detect and remove impaired drivers from New Hampshire roadways.
