On Thursday, May 9, 2019, at approximately 22:05hrs, Troopers from the Troop B Barracks in Bedford responded to the report of a single motor vehicle crash on Interstate 93 North, at mile marker 27.6, in the town of Hooksett. It had been reported that the vehicle had lost control and subsequently veered off the roadway to the right and into the woods. Troopers located the vehicle against a tree after it had crashed through the guardrail and rolled over. The vehicle was described as a Black Honda Civic. The operator was identified as: Brad J. Emmons, 22 Years of Age, Pembroke, NH.

Emmons was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The preliminary investigation indicates that Emmons lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, rolled over several times and crashed into the tree line. Speed is a factor, however all aspects of the incident remain under investigation. The 2 right travel lanes were closed for approximately 2 hours while Troopers processed the scene.

Assisting New Hampshire Troopers from Troop B were members of the Hooksett Fire Department and EMS.
