Multiple Hit and Run Collisions/DWI Arrest Suspect, Interstate 93-Campton

On April 23, 2019 at around 4:00p.m., New Hampshire State Police Headquarters took several reports of a vehicle operating erratically on Interstate 93 Northbound between the city of Concord and the town of New Hampton. It was reported that the vehicle was weaving lane to lane, tailgating and passing in the breakdown lane. The vehicle was reported to be a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. A short time later, Trooper Lori Terhune of the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F, spotted the vehicle traveling on Interstate 93 Northbound in the town of Holderness. As the vehicle passed, she noted that it was speeding and continuing to operate erratically. She was able to get caught up to the vehicle and eventually stopped the vehicle along Interstate 93 in the town of Campton. Upon getting the suspect vehicle stopped, Trooper Terhune had learned that this vehicle had struck two other vehicles between Concord and Plymouth causing heavy damage to the vehicle and had left the scene of both collisions. The operator and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as;

HARRIS submitted to a batter of field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested and charged DWI-Subsequent, Conduct After an Accident, Reckless Driving and Resisting Arrest or Detention for fighting with Trooper Terhune during the booking process. HARRIS will be required to appear before the 6th Circuit-District Division-Franklin Court for one count of Conduct After Accident and will have to appear before the 2nd Circuit-District Division-Plymouth Court for the remaining charges. The investigation is active and still on-going.
