On April 5th-7th, 2019, NH State Police Troopers assigned to Troop A, Troop G, and the Special Enforcement Unit participated in the "Interstate 95 Drive to Save Lives" national campaign. The goal of this initiative is to achieve increased high visibility traffic enforcement across the approximate 1920 miles of the Interstate 95 corridor. This joint enforcement effort emphasizes the need to change high-risk driving behaviors such as distracted driving, impaired driving, and speeding, to name a few, with an ultimate goal of reducing traffic deaths across the United States. Participation in this enforcement initiative included Troopers from State Police and Highway Patrol agencies from Florida to Maine.

As a result of this combined effort, NH State Police Troopers Stopped a total of 349 motor vehicles for various violations, the most prevalent being speeding offenses, which totaled 198. A total of 5 individuals were arrested, including 1 for driving while intoxicated. Troopers assigned to the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit conducted 29 safety inspections which resulted in 62 violations. Most importantly, there were no fatal of serious injury traffic crashes during this 72 hour time frame.

The NH State Police participates in numerous enforcement initiatives throughout the year in an ongoing effort to reduce poor driving habits through education and awareness, partnerships, and high visibility traffic enforcement.
