Drug Investigation, Interstate 95, Portsmouth, NH

money and heroin located during search

On March 18, 2019 at approximately 0200 hours, Trooper First Class Brian Gacek, NH State Police Troop A, conducted a motor vehicle stop along Interstate 95 in Portsmouth. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Norman Lewis, age 34, of Chesterville, Maine. A passenger was later identified as Jose Rosario, age 22, of Nashua New Hampshire.

During the course of a roadside investigation, Lewis was found to be in possession of approximately 5 grams of Heroin. This determination resulted in a search of the vehicle, where an additional 95 grams of Heroin was located. Over $1600 in cash was also located and seized pursuant to drug asset forfeiture.

Both subjects will be facing charges of possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute.
