On March 12, 2019, Trooper Kevin Raymond of the New Hampshire State Police – Troop G was conducting commercial motor vehicle inspections in the town of Sanbornton, NH when he stopped a 2017 Kenworth towing a 2017 Utility reefer trailer along Interstate 93 South Bound at the Sanbornton Rest Area. Members of Troop G are highly skilled Troopers who have received specialized training to conduct roadside inspections of commercial motor vehicles.

During the course of the inspection, Trooper Raymond identified the driver as Jeffrey D. Wight, age 44, of Denison, Texas. Trooper Raymond learned that Wight was wanted in the State of Texas for two felony counts of Fraud - Illegal Use of Credit Cards and that the arrest warrants were extraditable. Wight was arrested without incident and transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections. He was held without bail, pending an arraignment in the Belknap County Superior Court on March 13, 2019 for the charge of being a Fugitive from Justice. The tractor trailer was removed from the scene by John's Towing.
