crash photo of the 2014 red Toyota Camry

On Monday, February 25, 2019, at approximately 12:43 am, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police-Troop A Barracks were informed that Massachusetts State Police were on Interstate 95 north, approaching New Hampshire, in pursuit of a stolen motor vehicle. New Hampshire troopers took over the pursuit as it entered into this state. NH Troopers pursued the stolen vehicle, (2014 red Toyota Camry) on Interstate 95 north, then onto Route 101 westbound. The vehicle exited Route 101 at exit 11 in Stratham, where the driver was unable to maintain control and a crash resulted. Though the vehicle rolled several times, the suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Both troopers and local officers established a perimeter and a State Police K9 began to track the suspect. As the K9 track began, officers on perimeter from the Stratham and Hampton Police departments advised they were in a foot pursuit of the suspect in the area of V.I.P Auto. The suspect was taken into custody without incident moments later. The suspect, a juvenile, was transported to the Exeter Hospital, where they were treated and released for minor injuries that resulted from the motor vehicle crash. The name and age of the suspect are being withheld, as they are a juvenile, however criminal and motor vehicle charges are pending.

NH troopers were assisted by members of the Massachusetts State Police, Hampton Police, North Hampton Police, Seabrook Police, Greenland Police, Stratham Police, and Exeter Police. Also assisting were members of the Stratham Fire & EMS.

This incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Trooper Hervieux, NH State Police Troop A at
