photo of cocaine found during traffic stop

On February 24, 2019 at approximately 2115 hours, Trooper First Class Brian Gacek, NH State Police Troop A, conducted a motor vehicle stop along Interstate 95 in Portsmouth. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Adrian Foster, age 36, of Waterbury, Connecticut.

A thorough roadside investigation revealed evidence and signs of drug trafficking. The vehicle was seized pursuant to a criminal investigation and a State Police narcotics detection K9 was employed to conduct an exterior sniff of the suspect vehicle. Trooper George Sanborn and his K9 partner, Scout, reported a positive alert to the presence of narcotic odors within the vehicle. A search warrant was subsequently granted through the 10th Circuit Brentwood District Court.

An ensuing search of the vehicle located approximately 1.1 pounds of cocaine within a compartment under the steering wheel.

These circumstances remain under investigation by TFC Gacek and charges will be forthcoming. Anyone with further information is asked to contact TFC Gacek, via telephone, at 603-679-3333.
