DWI Saturation Patrol, Lakes Region

During the hours of 9:00pm, Saturday, December 15, 2018 through 3:00am, Sunday, December 16, 2018 New Hampshire State Troopers from Troop E in Tamworth conducted a DWI Saturation Patrol in the Lakes Region area in collaboration with the Gilford Police Department, Laconia Police Department and Belmont Police Department.

State Troopers stopped a total of 80 motor vehicles and issued summonses for speed, open container and personal possession of marijuana. Four physical custody arrests were made during this DWI Saturation Patrol period.

  1. David Dufresne, age 36 of Franklin, New Hampshire was arrested for Operating After Suspension – Subsequent Offense.
  2. Zachary Chapman, age 23 of Laconia, New Hampshire was arrested for DWI.
  3. Timothy Lewis, age 51 of Epsom, New Hampshire was arrested for DWI and Open Container.
  4. David Duprey, age 31 of Belmont, New Hampshire was arrested for DWI.

Colonel Christopher Wagner, Director of the New Hampshire State Police and Lieutenant James Fogarty, Commander of the Troop E barracks consider the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority. They will continue to collaborate and utilize DWI Saturation Patrols and other means to deter, detect and remove impaired drivers from New Hampshire roadways.
