On Thursday December 13, 2018 at approximately 5:53 am, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop C responded to a call for an unattended death in the town of Westmoreland. Upon arrival, a 27 year old male was found deceased inside of a residence along Rte. 63. While the official cause of death is pending, based on the circumstances, it is believed that the death was the result of an overdose. Investigators learned that during the previous evening, an associate of the decedent had also overdosed in the city of Keene. This individual was revived by the use of Narcan.

With assistance from the Keene Police Department, evidence was obtained that led investigators to believe the source of the drugs in question was a residence on Old Westport Road in Winchester. A search warrant was obtained by the New Hampshire State Police for that residence, and it was executed at approximately 6pm the same day. Following the execution of the search warrant: Jason Bower, Age 30, Winchester, NH, was located inside the residence and arrested for 2 outstanding warrants unrelated to this incident. He was released on bail and will be arraigned in the 8th Circuit Keene District Court on 1/2/19.

Based on the totality of the investigation and evidence obtained at the Old Westport Road residence, troopers also arrested Molly Duquette, Age 27, Winchester, NH, and charged her with Acts Prohibited: Sale of a Controlled Substance, a Class B Felony Acts Prohibited and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class B Felony.

Ms. Duquette was arrested without incident in Winchester and was held without bail at the Cheshire County House of Corrections. She was arraigned on the above charges Friday afternoon in Cheshire County Superior Court, and was held pending release on electronic monitoring. Her next court appearance is to be determined.

Assisting with the investigation were members from the Keene Police Department, Winchester Police Department, and the Westmoreland Fire Department. The case remains active and under investigation. Additional details or charges may be forthcoming. The public is urged to contact either Sgt. Daniel Brow or TFC Aaron Gillis with any information at (603) 223-8494.
