Motor Vehicle Crash, Everett Turnpike North, Exit 6 , Nashua
On October 31, 2018, at approximately 3:01 P.M. Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks in Bedford, along with the Nashua Police and Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with serious injury that occurred on the F.E. Everett Turnpike north near the exit 6 off ramp in Nashua.
Preliminary investigation showed that a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 operated by Maurice Demarais, 63 of Hollis, NH, was traveling on the Exit 6 off ramp when the vehicle suddenly veered off the left portion of the off-ramp and began to roll over. The Chevrolet Silverado rolled into the northbound lanes of the Everett Turnpike and was struck by a 2009 Honda Fit that was traveling northbound in the middle lane.
Demarais was transported to Southern New Hampshire Hospital with life-threatening injuries and subsequently transported by helicopter to a hospital in Massachusetts for further medical care.
The operator and passenger of the Honda Fit were not injured in the collision.
The New Hampshire State Police were assisted on scene by the Nashua Police Department, Nashua Fire Department, New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Kinney Towing and Lewis Towing.
