photo showing drug evidence and cash seized during arrest

On September 1st, 2018 at approximately 1447 hours, Trooper John Tyo from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks in Bedford attempted to stop a black Toyota Tundra on the Exit #1 off-ramp of Interstate 293 North in the city of Manchester after being notified that the vehicle had been reported as stolen out of Nashua. The Toyota Tundra refused to pull over and actively fled from Trooper Tyo in an attempt to escape apprehension.

Trooper Tyo pursued the Toyota Tundra for s short distance before the suspect crashed into several mailboxes at the entrance to Brook Hollow Way in Manchester. A male operator then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot as he continued his efforts to escape. After a brief foot pursuit, this male subject was taken into custody without further incident. He was identified as Anderson M. Morales, Age: 22, Manchester, NH.

Morales sustained minor injuries during the crash and was transported to the Elliot Hospital for treatment. Upon being released from the hospital, Morales was held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester pending his arraignment on September 4, 2018 in the Hillsborough County Superior Court. The Toyota Tundra was confirmed to be stolen. A search warrant later executed on the vehicle led to the discovery of controlled and narcotic drugs and several hundred dollars in cash.

Morales' charges include: Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Mischief, Disobeying a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest/Detention, Conduct After an Accident, Operating after Suspension – Subsequent Offense, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Controlled and Narcotic Drugs, and Transporting Drugs within a Motor Vehicle. It was also learned that Morales had a warrant for his arrest stemming from a previous incident where he fled from Troopers assigned to the New Hampshire State Police Mobile Enforcement Team.

The incident is currently under investigation and anyone with information pertaining to this matter is urged to contact Trooper Tyo at john.tyo@dos.nh.gov.
