DWI Saturation Patrol, Lakes Region

During the hours of 9:00pm, Saturday, September 1, 2018 through 3:00am, Sunday, September 2, 2018 New Hampshire State Troopers from Troop E in Tamworth conducted a DWI Saturation Patrol in the Lakes Region area in collaboration with the Gilford Police Department, Laconia Police Department and Belmont Police Department.

State Troopers stopped a total of 111 motor vehicles and issued summonses for driving after suspension, speed, lane control, unregistered vehicle and personal possession of marijuana. Two physical custody arrests were made during this DWI Saturation Patrol period.

  1. Andrew Walter, age 18 of Manchester, New Hampshire was arrested for Underage DWI and being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
  2. Russ Cody, age 26 of Hampton, New Hampshire was arrested for Aggravated DWI, Disobeying a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest.

Colonel Christopher Wagner, Director of the New Hampshire State Police and Lieutenant James Fogarty, Commander of the Troop E barracks consider the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority. They will continue to collaborate and utilize DWI Saturation Patrols and other means to deter, detect and remove impaired drivers from New Hampshire roadways.
