Reckless Driving Arrest, I-95, Greenland

At approximately 0637 hours on July 14, 2018, Sgt. Christopher Storm of the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit was monitoring traffic on I-95 northbound in the Town of Greenland when he observed a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed and clocked it at 116 MPH in the posted 65MPH speed zone. The vehicle a 2015 Honda Accord was subsequently stopped on I-95. The Subject was identified as Cullen Gaudette, Age 18, Hull, MA.

Sgt. Storm made contact with Gaudette. When asked why he was traveling at that speed. Gaudette stated that he was trying to get to a camping outing early. Sgt. Storm charged Gaudette with Reckless Driving. Gaudette is due to appear in the Portsmouth Circuit Court to answer to this charge on September 10, 2018 at 0800.

The NH State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors. Its members patrol across the state often utilizing the State Police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire's roadways safe for all residents and visitors.
