Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash, Route 18, Littleton
On Monday July 9, 2018 at approximately 3:59 a.m., the Littleton Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision on Route 18 in Littleton. This collision involved two vehicles:
- a 1999 Audi A4, Owned and Operated by Richard Maker,
Age: 23 Of Littleton, NH
Occupied by: Brodie Leavitt Age: 19 Littleton, NH (front passenger) and one Juvenile (rear passenger)
- And a, 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander Owned and Operated by: Doresa Harrell Age: 60 Of Georgia
Also Occupied by Dexter Prescott
Preliminary scene investigation revealed that the Mitsubishi Outlander was in the process of turning around in the roadway when it was struck by the Audi, which was southbound on Route 18.
Mr. Leavitt was pronounced dead at the scene, and all other drivers and occupants were transported with serious injuries to Littleton General Healthcare. Ms. Harrell succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, and the others were transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for further treatment.
The New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit was requested to respond to the scene and investigate the collision.
Due to the collision, Route 18 was closed for approximately 6 hours. The State Police CAR Unit was assisted on scene by the Littleton Police Department, and Littleton Fire Department.
