Motor Vehicle Collision, I-293, Manchester
On 06/25/18 at approximately 9:22 P.M. Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police, Troop B Barracks in Bedford responded to a motor vehicle collision on I-293 southbound. On arrival they found that Thomas Wilson-Frascone, age 34, Sandown, NH, had been operating a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, southbound and lost control of his vehicle striking the guardrail before, traveling through the guardrail and onto the northbound side of I-293. The vehicle traveled across all northbound lanes of I-293 before striking a tree and catching on fire. The operator and passenger were able to exit the vehicle, prior to emergency personnel arrival. The impact caused heavy damage to the guardrail and vehicle. The operator and passenger were transported to CMC Hospital for non-life threating injuries. The passenger was identified as Peter Yannakoureas, age 31, Sandown, NH.
The northbound Exit #1 on-ramp of I-293 had to be shut down for approximately one hour so the scene could be cleared up.
