On May 18, 2018 at approximately 6:01 p.m., Troopers from Troop D, and New London Police Department, responded to Interstate 89 northbound south of Exit 11 in the Town of Sutton, NH for the report of a rollover motor vehicle crash.

Troopers located a 2017 Dodge Caravan registered out of Vermont, which had rolled over on I89 then came to a final rest off the roadway on the right side median.

The operator was identified to be on Nathan Besio, age: 42, Colchester, VT.

The investigation revealed Besio was traveling northbound on I89 and drifted off the roadway on the high speed side, then overcorrected his steering back onto the roadway. As a result Besio lost control of the vehicle and subsequently rolled over, coming to final rest off the roadway on the right side median. Good Samaritans stopped to render aid until emergency service personnel could arrive.

The Interstate was reduced to one lane of travel for approximately an hour and a half while emergency service personnel from Sutton and New London Fire and Rescue rendered aid and removed the vehicle.

Besio was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information about it is requested to please contact Trooper Kyle Dombrowski at 603-223-4381 or via email at
