On Friday November 10, 2017 at around 2:25pm, a motor vehicle crash occurred in the town of Stark at the intersection of Nash Stream Road and Amos Emery Road. The crash involved a dump truck and a State vehicle belonging to the Department of Fish and Game. Troopers from Troop F and Troop G responded to the scene to investigate.

Upon arrival at the scene, Troopers found a dump truck lying on its side, on top of the pickup truck owned by the Department of Fish and Game. The dump truck was loaded with gravel at the time of the crash. Investigation at the scene found the dump truck, driven by Glen Perry, age 68, of Colebrook, NH was headed west on Amos Emery Road coming to the intersection of Nash Stream Road. The State vehicle, driven by Conservation Officer Glen Lucas of the NH Department of Fish and Game, Division 1, NH was headed north on Nash Stream Road. As G. Perry was coming to the intersection of Nash Stream Road, he did not see the vehicle driven by CO Lucas coming north on Nash Stream road. G. Perry continued across Nash Stream toward a private road headed to a sand pit.

The crash occurred as both vehicles were in the intersection. The dump truck collided with the pickup near the bed of the pickup behind the passenger compartment. Both vehicles came to rest off the northwest side of the intersection. The State pickup had one passenger, Seth Martin, age 33 of Sumner, WA. There were no serious injuries to any party and CO Lucas was transported by EMS as a precautionary measure.

Both vehicles received heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. Also responding to the scene where members of Groveton EMS, the Stark Fire Department and the Stratford Hollow Fire Department.

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone who may have further information is being asked to contact Trooper Matthew Favreau of the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F at (603)-846-3333 or
