Serious Injury Motor Vehicle Crash - Plaistow

On Saturday October 28, 2017 at approximately 12:50 am a serious motor vehicle crash occurred on NH Route 125 in the Town of Plaistow, NH. The crash involved one vehicle, a 2005 Ford Focus, operated by Joshua DONCASTER, age 27 of Haverhill, MA and a Pedestrian identified as, Ricardo DESANTOS SILVA, age 21 of Quincy, MA. Initial investigation appears to show that R. DESANTOS SILVA was attempting to off load a vehicle from a ramp tow truck at the 125 Auto Mall, 146 Plaistow Road in Plaistow. At the same time J. DONCASTER was traveling southbound in the Ford Focus, struck the 2005 Jeep Liberty that was being towed and also striking R. DESANTOS SILVA.

R. DESANTOS SILVA sustained serious, life threatening injuries and was transported via ground ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence MA. The operator of the Ford Focus, J. DONCASTER sustained no injuries and was arrested for Felony Aggravated Driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor. There was also a passenger in the Ford Focus identified as, Kevin STEVENS, age 30 also of Haverhill, MA. K. STEVENS also sustained no injuries as a result of collision

At the request of the initial responding units, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, (C.A.R.) Unit responded to the scene. At this time the collision remains under investigation. It does appear that impairment was a factor in the collision, however all aspects are still under investigation, including speed and/or distraction. As a result of the collision NH Route 125 in the area of Jesse George Road was closed for several hours while the investigation took place. The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, (C.A.R.) Unit was assisted on scene by NH State Police, Troop A, the Plaistow Police Department and the Plaistow Fire & Rescue Department.
