Injury Motor Vehicle Crash, NH Route 125, Kingston

On Thursday September 21, 2017 at approximately 9:00 pm a serious motor vehicle crash occurred on NH Route 125 in the Town of Kingston, NH. The crash involved two vehicles, a Chevrolet Cobalt, operated by Christopher St. Onge, age 23 of Kington and a Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Matthew Sommers, age 31 also of Kingston, NH. Initial investigation appears to show that the Chevrolet Cobalt was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Debra Road and for reasons yet undetermined failed to observe the Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle subsequently struck the right front of the Chevrolet Cobalt thus ejecting the operator of the motorcycle.

The operator of the motorcycle sustained serious and life threatening injuries and was transported via medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center. The operator of the Chevrolet Cobalt sustained no injuries and is cooperating with the investigation.

At this time the collision remains under investigation. It does not appear that impairment was a factor in the collision, however all aspects are still under investigation, including speed and/or distraction. As a result of the collision NH Route 125 in the area of Debra Road was closed for several hours while the investigation took place. The New Hampshire State Police were assisted on scene by the Kingston Police Department and the Kingston Fire Department.
