Updated September 21, 2017

On September 19, 2017, the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F, issued the press release found below. Due to the extremely dangerous nature of the suspected drug and the potential impact to the community in which it was located, some of the items seized have been expeditiously analyzed by the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory and while there remain more items to be analyzed, those that have been analyzed were found to contain the drug Fentanyl, (which is still considered to be a very dangerous drug), and not Carfentanyl, which is 100 times more potent than Fentanyl. The investigation is still on-going and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Trooper Thomas Owens at 603-223-8841 or thomas.owens@dos.nh.gov.

On September 16, 2017, at approximately 11:45p.m., Trooper Thomas Owens of the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F was on patrol in the town of Northumberland on Route 3, when he conducted a motor vehicle stop for an apparent equipment violation. A roadside investigation led to the discovery of a quantity of what is believed to be the powerful and dangerous drug, Carfentanyl to be present in the vehicle. That investigation led to the arrest of Jacqueline M. Hass, age 27, Northumberland, NH.

Hass was held on cash bail for the evening and appeared before the 1st Circuit-District Division-Lancaster Court the following afternoon at 1:00p.m., where she was arraigned on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Drug contrary to RSA 318-B:2. At this time the investigation is on-going and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Trooper Thomas Owens at 603-223-8841 or thomas.owens@dos.nh.gov.
