Crash, I-393 Eastbound

photo showing overturned tractor trailer

On September 19, 2017 at 3:09 a.m., the NH State Police was dispatched to a tractor-trailer which had overturned on I-393 eastbound near Exit 1.

Investigation revealed that a 2015 Peterbilt was hauling approximately 60,000 pounds of trash in an open-top box trailer when it overturned as the driver was merging onto I-393 east from I-93 north. Most of the garbage spilled onto the roadway and I-393 eastbound had to be shut down for over six hours until the truck and its load were able to be removed. Traffic was diverted to planned detour locations during this time.

The driver of the truck was cited for Unreasonable Speed.

Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to contact Tr. Pratt at 603-271-1162.
