Motor Vehicle Crash, Dover
On Saturday, September 9, 2017, at approximately 12:10 p.m., Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop-A responded to a single motor vehicle crash on the Spaulding Turnpike northbound between exit 7 and exit 8. The vehicle was described as a 1990 International logging truck with a boom. The operator was identified as Eric Corliss, age 45, of Barnstead, NH. On scene investigation showed the boom wasn’t fully secured resulting in it hitting the sign and bridge as it proceeded northbound underneath the overpass. There were no injuries reported. The right lane in that general area was closed for several hours to remove the boom, debris, sign and for NH DOT Bridge Maintenance to inspect the bridge.
The New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by members of NH Department of Transportation and Bridge Maintenance.
