On August 1, 2017, at approximately 7:45 pm, New Hampshire State Police, Troop A, received a request to assist the Madbury Police Department with a Hit and Run involving a bicyclist.

Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 6:53 Madbury police were informed of a bicyclist that had been struck by a motor vehicle on Route 9. When Madbury police arrived at the scene they found a conscious male on the ground with serious injuries.
