Motor Vehicle Crash, Dalton

On July 7, 2017 New Hampshire State Police received a report of a motor vehicle roll over crash with the occupant being ejected from the vehicle on Route 142 in Dalton. Responding Troopers arrived on scene to find Dalton Fire and EMS rendering aid to the sole occupant of a 2004 Ford Excursion. The operator was later identified as Travis Morrissette, age 37 of Whitefield, NH. Mr. Morrissette was transported to Little Regional Hospital by ambulance for suspected serious injury.

Preliminary investigation showed that the Ford was traveling eastbound on Route 142 when it ran off the left side of the roadway .The operator overcorrected and subsequently ran off the right side of the roadway. The operator then over corrected left sending the vehicle into a yaw. While in the center of the roadway the Ford overturned and came to final rest off the left side of the roadway.

Units assisting at the scene included Dalton Fire and EMS and the Whitefield Police Department.
