DWI Checkpoint, Nashua

During the hours of 9:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2017 through 3:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017, New Hampshire State Troopers from Troop B in Bedford and Officers of the Nashua Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on West Hollis Street in the city of Nashua.

The checkpoint was authorized by an order of the Hillsborough Superior Court and conducted under guidelines promulgated by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.

A total of 170 vehicles and operators were screened and 9 arrests were made.

  • Michael Stevens, age 44, of Nashua, New Hampshire was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
  • William Termedon, age 20, of Marlborough, Massachusetts was arrested for possession of a controlled drug.
  • Ryan Basnett, age 21, of Nashua, New Hampshire was arrested for operating without a valid license.
  • David Strahan, age 35, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was arrested on an electronic bench warrant.
  • Shannon Winslow, age 26, of Manchester, New Hampshire was arrested on Fugitive from justice charges out of Essex County Massachusetts.
  • Jerod Harris-Appling, age 27, of Southbridge, Massachusetts was arrested for an electronic bench warrant.
  • Diane Feltrin-Silva-Droique-Pimentel, age 26, of Nashua, New Hampshire, was arrested for operating without a valid license.
  • Zachary Dellagatta, age 20, of Nashua, New Hampshire was arrested for possession of a controlled drug.
  • Marlon Lizarido Aleman, age 30, of Richmond, Virginia, was arrested for operating without a valid license.

The New Hampshire State Police, Colonel Christopher Wagner and the Nashua Police Chief Andrew Lavoie as well as the officers of their departments, consider the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers to be a top priority. They will continue to collaborate and utilize sobriety checkpoints and other means to deter, detect and remove impaired drivers from New Hampshire's roadways.
