Boating Crash/Boating While Intoxicated, Lake Winnipesaukee

At approximately 2150 hrs, an emergency call on came in to Marine Patrol dispatch via 911 of a boat crash on Lake Winnipesaukee, south of Timber Island in the vicinity of the Witches.

Marine Patrol learned the vessel was taking on water and there was possible arm injury to one of the people on board the boat. Marine Patrol Officers were able to remove the stricken boat from the rocks and towed the vessel to the Gilford Town Docks where they met Fire Rescue personnel.

All persons, including the operator and two male passengers on board the vessel refused medical treatment.

Marine Patrol Officers investigating the crash administered field sobriety tests to the operator, Tyler Finethy, Age 24, Alton, NH, and arrested him for boating while intoxicated.
