Motor Vehicle Crash, Milton Road, Farmington

On June 5, 2017, at approximately 04:13, after assisting with a stand-off involving a barricaded subject, New Hampshire State Police, Troop A received a request to assist the Farmington Police Department with a crash involving a civilian vehicle and a tactical police vehicle.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a tactical vehicle, also referred to as a Bearcat, belonging to the Strafford County Tactical Team, was parked outside of a residence on Milton Road (Route 153) conducting a tactical operation. The Strafford County Tactical Team had just taken a subject into custody after he had broken into a residence on Milton Road and shot the home owner. The tactical team was still in the process of securing the residence when the crash occurred.

A vehicle, (1989 Honda Civic) operated by Jason Slattery, age 31 of Milton, NH was traveling southbound on Milton Road and crashed into the Bearcat.

The occupants of the Bearcat were not injured. Slattery was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital where he was treated for significant injuries. Slattery was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
